Let me preface this thread by requesting a few things:

1) This thread is purely about the PS3. Please do not bring sales information about the 360 or Wii to this thread.

2) Do not flame people or ask them to prove their anecdotal evidence. We'll be going by the creed that the poster is honest.

3) Do not go off topic or ask questions that can derail this thread. I'd like to keep this as civil as possible.

Given these rules, I want people to do some research. For those that visit game stores every now and again, I would like you to ask the store attendants there how PS3 sales have done ever since the price drop. Ask them if they've ever sold out, if they had to restock, etc, anything that gives you an idea of how sales have been the past week.

We won't know for sure until July NPD. We haven't even received June NPD yet, so it'll be a bit before we get those numbers.

Bodhesatva, I would like to know if sales have changed any at your place of work. I visit a few malls in my area, so I will post my findings, as well. I look forward to a flame free discussion with the lot of you.

I have sold 1 PS3 this week total, on the first day after the price cut. This is an increase from the previous two weeks, when I had not sold any.

Its sold out at futureshop.ca its the canadien version of bestbuy.

Its sold out at my local EB, CC, and BB. Between the 3 walmarts in my area. They have a bit over 60 left between them. For some reason the PSP is selling like mad though at the walmarts.... every restock they sell out o.O idk why.

I'm not at all trying to take away from that, it's a very interesting thread for sales information of all consoles with respect to the store. This is more to see if the price cut/E3 announcements helped push consoles outside of the online arena. We've already seen the difference in made it places like Amazon and circuit city online. I'm interested in physical store changes/fluctuations.

I am also curious to see the impact the latest PS3 pricing has caused. I guess by asking about another thread in this thread I've violated your Rule # 3 - sorry about that!

I am breaking a rule in that I did not talk to any sales people, but I have been 5 stores over the last two days that sell consoles. This is what I saw PS3wise:

Best Buy - 6
WalMart - 3
WalMart - 2
Target - 2
Toys R Us - 1

I guess nothing personally, but on the Playstation forums i frequent you can see a large increase in "just got a PS3" and "so what should i get with my new PS3" type threads....nothing huge, but just a litle anecdotal evidence there.
