Not to be the ultimate pessimist, Kotaku is no more credible than anyone else. They would post all sorts of news, as long as it has "rumor" before it.

Where did you get the info? How do you know when the confernce starts?
Its weird but we're like children waiting for christmas or something not only on this site all of the site I've visited. And Im not using figures of speech either, its what I feel.

The info on the time of the event came from NeoGAF, and the fact that it started at a similar time last year.
