Forums - Gaming - Wheres the big 3rd part support for the wii ?

Just take some most wanted announced game,

what will we find :

exclusive PS3 : LBP/Killzone/MGS

exclusive xbox360 : ME / Bioshock / Halo

exclusive Wii : Metroid/Mario kart/Mario Galaxy

third developpers multiplateform most wanted :

GTA4/AC/PES2008/RE5/CoD4/UT3

I mean, I dont have any evidence for this, but I m sure u understand that right now, except for what is coming from Nintendo themselve, Wii still doesnt have big third party that should appear in a most wanted list.
Right multiplateform developpement is excluding the wii and, I think, this is a bad point for her.

Geometry Wars Galaxies is also a much bigger game, and is a sequel, not a port. Kick and scream all you want, Ck. "I don't like those games! They stink! The 360/PS3 games are good!" Call me stupid if you want, too. I don't care about almost any of the games you mentioned for the 360/PS3, either. So thrash and scream to your hearts content -- since April, the Wii has seen more games announced exclusively for it than the 360 and PS3 have seen combined.

"I don't care about those games, so they don't count!" is quite silly, but if that's your only defense, fine.

So you are going to buy Jenga and My Word Coach? So the 3rd party titles that made the PS2 the dominant console last generation were these budget titles?

Enjoy those great games then since you seem to love them so much. And I don't care how much you dress up Geometry Wars it is an Xbox Live game with more content being sold as a full game. From 2 dollars to 50 dollars I don't think you're getting your money's worth.

Yes, this is precisely what I believe, and okay, I will enjoy them.

No matter what I say you will keep saying that the Wii is getting great 3rd party support. No matter what games are coming to it.

If you want to believe that, fine. Ck, I had left console gaming completely for almost twelve years. The last console I purchased and owned was a PS1! I came back precisely and only because of the Wii and Wii style games. What I'm getting is very much what I want. If you want to believe I'm lying -- if you want to believe that everyone obviously hates these games, fine. I don't, okay? You're welcome to your preferences, and I have mine. I've made my preferences abundantly clear in the past.

I'd be willing to pay 40+ for Geometry Wars with more content...
Some games like Geometry Wars provide more entertainment for me than a lot of 3D adventure platformers...I know I'll be playing out my money's worth with Geometry Wars for quite some time...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

No one is claiming they are all better ckmlb, just that we are simply seeing a shift in developer support towards the Wii, which will in time produce good games. You seem to be oblivious to this shift though and rather than accept it you just say "they are all crap." That's fine, you can not like them if you want, but the shift is still there, and it's unbelievably obvious, even so early in the Wii's life. Can you imagine what it will look like this time next year when developers have had time to develop for the system they claim they are focusing on this generation?

By the way, Rygar is a port of the PS2 game. So I guess ports of years old games are now great third party support cause of added motion controls?

We shouldn't count multiplatform games for the 360/ps3

Lets count only exclusives, ok ? :)

You repeatedly make this claim about being tired of traditional games except you show enthusiasm for traditional games on the Wii...hmmm I wonder how that works?

You had a huge rant twice about how games about wars and shooting and whatnot are crappy and for teens or whatever yet when Capcom announced that RE: UC is a test game you said in the thread that every Wii owner should buy that game...

You contradicted yourself over your stance towards violent and traditional games so many times that I am convinced that you're just another Wii supporter and not someone who likes the Wii only for its non traditional games.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

You do realize one of the most highly regarded games in the PS3 library right now available is Ninja Gaiden Sigma? A remake of a several year old last gen game from the Xbox as well? Note that according to metacritic.com, the HIGHEST ranked PS3 game is...OBLIVION. Another port of a game that's already seen on the PC and 360 and that actually runs the best and looks the best on a PC.

Which do you do has a bigger potential to change how you play and enjoy an interactive videogame: more up to date graphics or adding motion controls to change how you interact with it?

So whether or not Rygar is good or not, your argument is condemning the PS3 as well.

All right there's no point in arguing with people who want quantity over quality.

I'm sure you will all enjoy Playground and Carnival Games since you are championing them.

You don't see me going around trying to tell people how great some crappy low budget title is on the PS3 or 360 but you guys seem to defend every single game no matter how small or unimportant it is because you are Wii fanboys.

Yes. Yes. I will enjoy Carnival Games. Why is that so hard to understand? Stop mocking these games, other people enjoy them! If you don't, fine! I would personally mock games like "To End All Wars," as they look incredibly generic. Another first person world war shooter? Hurray!

Here's a bet, Ck: there are more World War FPSers in development right now than mini game party compilations. I'm not entirely sure that's true, but it's certainly close and up for debate.

Yet again someone who puts words in my mouth as me saying all third party games on Wii are crappy even though literraly every time I posted in this thread I've tried to point out the Wii 3rd party games that I think are wonderful and actual good third party support.

But there seems to be a campaign here that whoever criticizes the Wii, its 3rd party support or the direction of Nintendo is a fanboy and should be deligitimized.

If it makes you all feel more comfortable to call me crazy or a fanboy or whatever to convince yourselves that third party support is in great shape and whatever then I don't see this trend changing.
