For someone who's so mature Bodhesatva seems to keep switching between liking traditional games and the new Wii type games a lot.

Whenever it's time to criticize the PS3 and 360 games he points out that they are violent teen games but for the Wii those games are perfectly fine and should be bought.

Name one violent Wii game I plan to buy, please. Thanks!

Why did you ask people to buy RE: UC in the RE: UC thread?

Have you read the whole thread?  Bodhesatva even states that it is a joke as an answer to you I think.

Buy it and pray to the gods of Sigs: Naznatips!

I think it's pretty obvious that overall third partys have invested more resources in 360 & PS3 than Wii looking specifically at already announced titles. Things are changing though and once a lot of these teams are freed up from their 360/PS3 projects you can bet that a good number of them will be assigned to Wii development.

Looking purely from a perspective of money invested the Wii has  the worst third party lineup but imo this wont be the case this time next year.

@ckmlb: if you want to be taken seriously and be seen as objective you need to stop running from threads you don't feel like answering questions in, the N games since 2002 thread being the best recent example. You act like a troll in one thread and then wonder why people are hostile towards you in another.

Updating the Wii list as I think of new stuff. Other people help me out!

...

I'm still not including budget titles, by the way.

Are Rayman 2 and Rayma: Raving Rabbids 2 the same game or was there another Raman game announced? Also, still no DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 love. ;_;

No, that's a repeat, I'll take the second off the list. And I'll add Budokai shortly then :p

Well, technically Budokai shouldn't be added, because despite major differences, there is a PS2 version as well. The same with Budokai 3, though that one there may be a case because of online play in addition to a completely different control scheme in the Wii version.

If we are talking only about exclusives, then the ps3/360 have almost no 3rd party support..

Playground is also coming to DS, Agatha Christie is also a PC game.

Also which medal of honor game is that Can you list the full name please?

Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi 2 is not a Wii exclusive if you were going to list it, neither is 3.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

This thread asked for Wii's third party support, or stated there was a lack of it at E3. There was a general lack of 3rd party announcements for ALL systems at E3...but in the past 2 months, plenty of games have been announced for ALL 3 systems.

That's basically the end of the thread right there...there was no need for all these "crap minigame" and "cash-ins" arguments in between, but oh well, things move fast.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

There have been big 3rd party announcements all year for the 360 and PS3.

There weren't many new games announced at E3, but everyone was talking about how the Wii was gonna have a turn around with 3rd parties at E3 and nothing of the sort happened.

So when is this big 3rd party support supposed to come?

I don't remember people suggesting specifically lots of 3rd party Wii stuff, though MoH Wii with 32 player online was pretty huge. Personally, I have said time and time again that since 3rd parties didn't anounce shift in focus for the Wii till a couple months ago, you won't see the effects of this shift till 2008. People jump on any opportunity to criticize the Wii though, so the creation of this topic does not surprise me (nor does your reply ckmlb).

Well said, naznatips.

Simple: Third parties made up their minds before the Wii launched that they would support PS3/360. Analysts did not expect it to sell, no one did. The PS3/360 projects coming out have been in development for a while.

Once the Wii showed that it was here to stay, many third parties have begun to support it. Sure, quite a number of projects are quick cash ins, because they want to make some money this holiday season. They know the Wii is selling, will be selling in the holiday season. They are not going to have big projects ready, so they get out whatever they can. All of the simple/mini-games/ports are coming out this year. I did not hear any company announcing mini-games for 2008. They are putting everything in for the holiday. It is a last-minute strategy.

Alongside these, however, there ARE good games coming. And, in 2008, we will see some of the bigger projects that third parties are cooking up. You COULD SPECULATE that they are not coming, but I say they are being developed as we speak.

@ckmlb,

What I posted earlier, which you just happen to overlook, explains the current situation.

As you said, games like No More Heores are what the Wii needs. However, Suda51 showed their support for the Wii early. Hence, why we are getting a quality title. Capcom and Konami, Zack and Wiki and Deweys Adventure, also unique solid titles that are coming to the Wii (Although I will admit that they look a tad to kid friendly for my own taste, but the gameplay seems uniqe andgreat).

I have argued this many many times: IMO,Western based companies are the main leaders of casual stuff for the Wii. They are also some of the latest to realize the Wii's potential, and the ones throwing us some shovel ware. They have, along with many other big third party develpers, their bigger projects, which they started before they saw the success of the Wii, coming to the 360/PS3 this year and early next year. I wont argue that.

But as you said yourself, "Believe me there is almost nothing on PS3 or 360 3rd party that I want to play as much as No More Heroes on the Wii." We just have to wait longer, because no one saw what a huge success the Wii would be.

YOU ARE WRONG CKMLB... Not really, but maybe that will get peoples attention. If it doesnt, I will start posting some pics.
Maybe if I add some color....

Well, I have nothing better to do. I put some time and effort into this, and worded it pretty well, IMO. I guess I am just in the mood to get some attention.

Then why the hell 90% of the games you listed for 360/ps3 are multiplatform if those doesn't count ? :|

The definition of good 3rd party support for me is good games that the companies put effort into making.

Not just any game.
