I don't think he died....they just made it seem like he did for dramatic effect. =P

Or it could also have been that he died, and everyone else subsequently died and that's why they're all together in the end...in Pirate heaven.

Dude, did you watch the credits? at the very end there's a little bit more.

I don't remember it exactly, but its something like a chest washes up and Wiki is inside, but doesn't remember anything, which presumably is the same way he came to you in the first place. So he definitely didn't die. he's still kicking it with Zack.
