Depends on how well you're dorm is locked, but I'm guessing you're probably also taking a laptop and tv with you and those are probably way more expensive

I don't think Wii and PS3 need more education, but you could leave PS3 home (or sell it), buy Wii Fit and take your Wii and Wii Fit with you. No matter how nerdy you are, you'll score within a week when introducing them to your fellow studentess'. Or if you don't, watching them doing the yoga gives you something to remember when you jerk off.

If you're single, bring the Wii. You can save money by having people over to drink and play Wii games instead of going out to the bars, and the ladies will love it.

In my one year in a dorm, my roommate brought the video games and I brought a turntable and my favorite crate of records for our room, and we stole a couch from the lounge and had the ultimate chillaxxing lounge until we got caught.

Sounds a whole lot like what we did last year... My friends went even a step further. All 4 were sleeping in one room and the other had a projector, switched out the flouresents for black lights and it was an awesome place. Should see their apartment now...

Bring your systems, it should be fine. Worst case scenario is that someone or an RA has a master key which they use to go into your room at ease and steal your stuff. No one is supposed to have master keys but they've been passed down by students for years at my university and have been abused randomly to the dismay of many.
