The amount of hate for the PS3 really does surprise me. The most shocking attitude is from people who had a PS1 and PS2 and suddenly started bad mouthing Sony because they bought a product from one of the most horrible corporations in the world - Microsoft.
Can anybody shows where is the hate?? most of the people around here agrees that the PS3 is going to get great games, but not enough to recover the first place...
Probably it will end up getting the 2nd place, but thats all...

The thing is, this year sony has been outselling the 360 WW but are still just over 5 million units behind (still a long way to go) and the problem for them is the Wii is till outselling them. The PS3 will not sell the most consoles this generation, but that does not stop it from being a great console.

PS3 is no PS2 in terms of sales. We can not expect PS3 sales to take off like PS2 or Wii.
PS3 will definitely not get first in sales this generation, and may struggle to get 2nd as Japan is starting to notice the 360 and it's jRPG line-up more.
At this point, be excited about the games. For me, and this is only personal opinion, but WKC and LBP excite me more than any exclusives on other consoles. Just as the poorly selling Gamecube had some of my favorite games that generation.

Conservatives: Pushing for a small enough government to be a guest in your living room, or even better - your uterus.
Sony can be counted out due to numerous poor decisions in both design and product placement during the development of the PS3.
Blu Ray - Too much tech too early.
Cell Processor - Ultra powerful but terrible for games.
Price and handling of launch - Both laughable.

thats japan for ya, one good game, huge boost, 2 weeks later back down! look at ps3 when MGS4 came out and then each week it went back down to normal levels. the normal levels for ps3 is about 10-15k and for 360 1-3k. your saying 360 will outsell ps3 this chrismas IN AMERICA, then you may be right, we will have to see but worldwide? NO!

Seems like right now would have been the ideal time for the PS3 to be released. It still has hardly any games worth playing. Its has a really pathetic line up considering this is its 2nd or so year out.

Seriously? perhaps you need to check out gamerankings and metacritic, but then you'd have to admit you're just bias and you only really mean is that the PS3 has the games you like best. Sony's chances are iffy... they lose this Christmas and momentum shifts to Microsoft then it's over for them so far as getting second place... that doesn't mean that they wont be successful or that it wont be close, but seriously you can't hemorage money like they did for so long and hope to compete with two companies who's quarterly results have the capital of a small country.
