I know. I have trouble naming good 3rd party publishers for the Wii as well. If I could I wouldn't be waiting on Nintendo for most all the really interesting titles.

Nice... but I guess you knew I wasn't talking about the Wii only.

With the huge budgets of PS360 games it's taking 2-3 years just to bring out a new game, never mind enough that everyone will like at least 1 game every 5 months.

Regarding Nintendo: I have bought and enjoyed 8 of their games in less than 2 years, and if I had the money I could have bought and enjoyed at least 8 more. 16 games in 2 years is perfectly fine for most people, so either you enjoy fewer genres of games than me or you stop playing games after you had them a month for some reason... and therefore any sizable gap in games you want results in no playtime at all. I meanwhile am still playing Mario Kart and Battalion Wars 2 (both bought in April).

Regarding third parties: I probably could name 16 games I want from the past 2 years of third parties too, admitedly the fact that a number of third parties can't grab my interest much more than Nintendo alone does prove they haven't been great for the Wii, but there are still some excellent games out there.

The problem was that before I could finish enjoying MP3, Galaxy came out. Then Mario Kart, then Brawl. And there was Mario Strikers and Mario & Sonic thrown in somewhere in between and Zelda before. But after Brawl there is a huge gap. I will get Disaster Day of Crisis to fill in the gap but after that it doesn't look like there is anything coming anytime soon. The next game will probably be Pikmin 3 and we all know that is not anytime soon. Yes Nintendo doesn't reveal games a long time in advance but we all know Pikmin or any other core game after Disaster is a long way off. 3rd parties should be filling the gap but they seem to be block heads. Maybe Nintendo should have spaced their main games out a bit more so that we could have had either Metroid, Mario Kart, Brawl or Galaxy to look forward to this Christmas instead of Animal Crossing.

Well you could always go back and finish enjoying them now.... Christ I sometimes didn't buy a new GameCube game for a whole year but I still enjoyed the games I had instead. Many people don't seem to play their games to their full capacity.

Or perhaps instead you could buy a third party offering during this time of "Nintendo drought" .... While all those great games were releasing there were very few decent third party games indeed. (a few from Capcom, EA and Konami being the ones shining through) Now however there are many good third party games out now, or coming soon... or you could buy some you didn't earlier on.

According to your games page, your Wii collection has already caught up to your GameCube collection, and I will presume you sold some N64 games and didn't add them because you only show 9 for it. (My games page shows all games I ever owned... minus a couple of Megadrive games I can't remember)

Yes going back to my old games would be the way to go. I have played No More Heroes and Pro Evolution less than 1 hour each since I got them. Problem is when I get a new game I find it hard to go back to the games I had before. Since I got Brawl that's the only thing I have played apart from the few Mario Kart GPs I have taken part in and made a fool of myself in.

Won't see me bitching. Just added 2 more titles to my Wii collection, Lego Batman and De Blob, and I'm still happy haha. Maybe it's just because I'm a more well rounded gamer than most or because I like the Wii. I really don't know but won't see me bitching because I know eventually Ninty will announce more of their core gamers and in the mean time I'll buy all the good 3rd party games such as those 2.
