I just kinda inhereted an original model PSP-1001 and was wondering if it's worth trading it in for a PSP 2000 (PSP 3000 once it's released). Are they really that different?

well if you wanted a smaller one ..yes
but the new ones dont support the psp headphones remote
Yes, especially if you are going for a 3000 model. The handheld is much liter and slicker. Also the screen brightness is far better and it has a built-in microphone, plus now you will be able to connect it to any TV you want... so yeah, definatly go for it ;)
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
jmoney!!!! your first post and first thread and its about that old piece of trash fat PSP you bought.
Well my insight is, I would trade it in at Gamestop and fork out the money and get the new PSP-2000, if you would like to hold out a little longer the new PSP-3000 is coming soon.
So just keep it in the meantime. GameStop might have a offer, where if you trade in a older model for the new PSP model you will get a price deduction.

Im never letting go of my gold psp, well until psp2 comes out that is!
