I've been expecting it for years.
Ever since Sony said the PS3 would run games at 120 FPS, 1080p.

The Xbox 360 actually has a few games running natively at 1080p.

Sony talked up 1080P as the standard for "true HD" blah blah blah and they have maybe 2 games that run on native 1080p and most ports look better still on the Xbox 360! I recommend that people wait and see the truth. The PS3 so far has proven quite inferior to the Xbox 360 and yes, the Xbox 360 can run native 1080P. |
Are people making this up somehow? Can you post a quote?
1080p is called FullHD, Blu-Ray movies are in FullHD quality. Before launch Sony marketed the PS3 as a platform supporting games in resolutions "up to 1080p" as well, which does not imply 1080p support would be mandatory, actually to the contrary.
Dolby True HD regards a high quality audio format.
From a hardware perspective the PS3 is superior and this will show more and more in PS3 exclusives (as many believe this is already clearly the case) and porting efforts will likely become better and better, if the project is ambitous enough cross platform titles will probably become clearly better on the PS3. I wouldn't be suprised if for example Crytek would be able to do more with the PS3 than they can on the 360 (their game engine is heavily multi-threaded).

EVeryone just ignore Jenny's comment please, she has been warned and replying to that comment will only make things worse and probably eventually a thread lock.
Wow.
Labelling the story of WKC as on par with Dragon Quest has caused a disturbance in the force.
Fanboys on both sides of the Sony/Nintendo divide are being forced to deny the quality of a game they once praised due to unequivocal hate for a flagship associated with an opposing company's console.
DQ has a pretty sweet story by Japanese standards. That may not be saying that much as far as JRPG's go. But surely WKC fans weren't unrealistic enough to think WKC was going to have a story of such high quality as Mass Effect or Oblivion?
Hope for the best of the JRPG's (Lost Odyssey, FFX etc), not the best of the RPG's storywise.

Same. Although I thoroughly enjoyed DQVIII, the story was anything but fantastic. It was tolerable, at best.
But I'm hoping this was something just lost in translation and that the setting is just similar as opposed to the actual story. Regardless, I'm confident the game will be really good just now a bit more cautious of thinking it may be a gem.

Secondly, for it to run 1080p: Framerate will probably be 10-15 FPS |
Wow. Your a loser kid, lol.
(Please see Wipeout HD).
And a low framerate in an RPG? Who gives a fuck maybe?

Hell, they could have hired me to write the script and story for that game. I could've done FAR better than them and their DQ-like storyline... I'm writing something myself, by the way. I can only hope that it's something that's lost in the translation, as pearjammer said.

Bolded: Ignore me... I was wayyyy off, lol.
Italicized: I'm very much of the opposite. I typically dislike the stories of most WRPG's and while I don't think most JRPG's have good/average stories, I think their best are above and beyond any type of RPG.
