All those 80+ games began development during a time when PS3 and 360 were expected to dominate.
Now that the winner has become clear, that will change. Same thing happens every generation.

"Mario and Sonic also outsold a lot of those games.....does that make it better?"
Moving the goal posts. You wrote "doesn not trump that in ANY way" Sales is a way, so your comment was false, and now you are twisting words to avoid the fact that your comment was wrong.
"If you're going to say review scores don't matter"
I didn't. I wrote "has squat to do with profitibility"
You can't counter my comments if you don't address my actual comments.

No no...you said Mario and Wii Sports outsold those games, and thus gave the impression that they were better because of it. Now Mario and Sonic, which is universally acclaimed as a crappy game also outsold them. By your logic, the game is thus better than all those others that I listed. That's not moving the goal post, that's juxtaposing your theory onto my argument as a means to disprove it.
And when I said "if you're going to say review scores don't matter", I took that as a pre-emptive measure because I know a lot of people here will say review scores, in fact, don't matter.
Not to mention the fact that sales =/= trumping a games quality. Game Party sold a million, Vesperia is sitting at 250k...does Game Party thus equal a better experience? No, so how do sales equal a method of trumping? Please explain. My main argument is that the games are better on the HD consoles and nothing on the Wii trumps that, to which you brought in sales, to which I refuted that many great games underperformed but that doesn't mean they therefore suck (now bring that back to the argument that the HD consoles have a better library).
I addressed your comments, you just didn't like the answer

Liar. That counts as trumping in at least one way, and you know it.

Hmm, missed a few bits of data there. If generations are determined by how many 'bits' the processor has
8 bit NES and Master System
16 bit SNES and Mega Drive (Genesis)
32 bit PSX and Saturn
64 bit N64, PS2, GC, Xbox, PS3, Wii, 360, PS4, Wii2, 720, PS5, Wii3, 1080 etc
How could it be a 6th gen console? On Wikipedia it says 7th gen, and what Wiki says is the unquestionable truth to everything.
Really, why make an assumption thread. Gaming generations arent necessarily about making a large improvement. Its just a natural progression from an older thing to a new thing.

Ok, I'm wrong. Mario and Sonic outsold Tales of Vesperia. It's a better game. Mario Party 8 outsold COD4. It's a better game. Big Brain Academy outsold Uncharted. It's a better game. Sonic and the Secret Rings outsold DMC4. It's a better game. Game Party outsold Battlefield: Bad Company. It's a better game. Because all those Wii games outsold those HD games, they trump the HD game library

I wasn't talking about subjective quality. I only addressed that your claim that those two games did not in any way trump those on the list was false, because there was a way. Anything else is you trying to smokescreen that.
And subjective opinions on quality are to also smokescreen the profitability comment I made, which you still are not addressing.
