Ok, so i have never played a megaman game in my life, and i never owned a NES so i sorta missed out on the whole 2D sidescrolling 8 bit type games.

my question is, even though i have never played a megaman game, and barely any games from that genre, will i still enjoy megaman 9? I wouldnt have even bothered asking if there werent so many people going nuts over it.

Well I really liked Mega Man 3. A lot of people think MM9 is hard. So if you like hard, fast, short games then yes. This game is all about the game play. There is no shiny to make it better.



Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

The game is tough, but typically it is the platforming that is tough.

You die instantly and have to restart if you fall in a hole, or hit any spikes. The bosses are typically pretty tough too, but once you find their weakness they only take like 10 seconds to beat.

Once you beat one stage, everything becomes a lot easier, as you get special weapons that can take out bad guys that were giving you problems.

So, if you think you'll enjoy a game were jumping from 1 block to another can be incredibly frustrating, then yes, get it.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
