I doubt SSBB has a chance of winning GOTY awards. It will contend for and win other awards, sure, it just won't win any GOTY awards.

I believe Gears 2, Fallout 3 and GTA IV will win many GOTY awards from various media outlets.

I disagree with that statement. From my time with it, it's pretty clear that Brawl isn't GOTY material. Well, neither is GTA4 but that's for another thread.

i love how sony/M$ fanboys dont even mention Wii games, and then they say games that arent even out yet.

Brawl is as much of GOTY material as GTA4, GoW2, MGS4 is the only game this year i would say is better.

What Wii games would you list as the best game of the year?

Other than Brawl I honestly can't think of any honest contenders...Mario Kart was a big seller but nothing spectacular...Wii Fit could be considered for the same appeal of Wii Sports, but based on reviews I don't see why it would be considered the best game of the entire year except by a few sites.

Brawl could, but it also has a number of flaws, most reviewers will point out the online system.

But I can't honestly think of any other Wii games of the same caliber as MGS4, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead.....

No (I have played through MGS4 twice though). But a lot of the biggest titles are coming out this fall...and it's stupid to talk about game of the YEAR without including such games.

And we're all making predictions. My prediction is that it's more likely for MGS4, Spore, Left 4 Dead, and perhaps Fallout 3 to get Game of the Year awards than any Wii game this year, other than perhaps Brawl or Wii Fit as I mentioned.

I think GoW2 will win the majority of GOTYs, Fallout 3 has a good chance if the combat system turns out well. Fable 2 and LBP would be my dark horse nominees.
