As tempting as it is I think I will skip the Best Buy thingy or I'm going to end up doing the same thing I did on my PS2, buy games I will never have time to purchase ( I still had 3-4 PS2 games in their plastic wrap 6 months ago, ended up selling them in a garage sale..)

Besides by the time I am finally free to play Ratchett or NBA2K10, they will probably be down to 40$ or so at retail so I shouldn't loose any money( I noticed that now that the generation is getting older and there is competition for shelves space, titles tend to go down in price within 5-6 months of their release).

I don't know about that, as it seems first party games tend to stick at their original pricepoints for a long time. I know that Tools of Destruction was still $60 new for a long time, until it just recently became a Greatest Hits.

I think there is more latitude in game pricing in Europe than in US.
You would never see stuff like fifa 10 selling for half the MSRP on the week of the release like you guys saw in England.
I think somehow the retailers margin are higher , especially in England...

Well NBA2k10 will drop the price first.

It's a seasonal title so price of those drop once the NBA season comes to a close...

I might end up getting R&C before it drops in price, but really buying 3 games this week with the backlog I have and with Dragon Age, MW2 and AC2 coming out doesn't make sense ...( still got 2 gamefly games too and like a queue of 7 games at gamefly I plan to rent and not to buy).

If you are refering to Uncharted ive heard that game just has problems. Mines froze many a time espcially on chapter 24 or 25 i can't remember.

Sigh... now Amazon has a spend $80 on select games and get a $40 credit, so I just bought Borderlands and Red Faction Guerilla for ~91. My Assassin's Creed 2 and New SMB Wii will be nearly free after all my Amazon credits.
