Forums - Nintendo - IGN gives Kirby Super Star Ultra a 7.9

Closing Comments
Kirby's third Nintendo DS adventure sits somewhere between the first two: it's not as creative as Kirby's Canvas Curse, but it's not as "by the numbers" formulaic as Kirby's Squeak Squad. It's definitely a fun, quality DS adventure even if it didn't start out that way: the short-and-sweet adventure structure actually feels at home on the Nintendo DS, but the slightly easy level of difficulty might make this one a short-lived addition to your Nintendo DS library.

Kirby Squeak Squad also got a 7.9... Boycott IGN and other lazy reviews!  /sarcasm

I still want it. I <3 Me some Kirby games. :D

You and me both.  I've actually been waiting for this for a while so I don't care about reviews at this point.

You shouldn't. The original SNES version is the best Kirby by far. The game was great in single player but it really shined as a multiplayer game.

The game may be easy (all Kirby games are) but there's a lot of replay value in there. Especially The Great Cave Offensive which isn't that easy.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

Did they even notice that this is mostly a port of a SNES game (Kirby Super Star)?

And considering my six-year-old son can beat almost all of that game, it is not the most challenging of games out there. But it is a lot of fun.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I believe Super Star was the best Kirby as well.  I like Kirby games in general so I would have gotten it if it was called "Kirby: Dreamland's Sour Nightmare."

7.9 is a decent score. Kirby fans should not think twice about buying this game.

# of games above 75 on Metacritic (including downloadable):

360: 241     DS: 144

PS3: 152     PSP: 126

Wii: 85

Does anyone know if this game is already out in the VC....of by any chance it's coming out in the VC????

This is a remake, so this particular version won't be on the VC. I have no clue if it is on the VC or not, but I would hazard a guess at no, seeing as how it would cut into sales of this.

Yeah, i know its a remake....thats why i dont think its worth to pay $35 instead of just the $8 that would cost in the VC....i guess i'll have to wait :\

Looks like it......and it may be for a while, depending on how slowly the sales drop.......if it has legs, like most nintendo games, then you'll be waiting quite a while!
