For the race after dissolution of Parl. which one would you favour? Any other party candidates for consideration?
Well, I appear to be first. Firstly, isn't it a bit odd to ask when Turnbull has only been leader for a few days? As to my opinion, I'd by voting for Rudd - and unless Whitlam gets repeated in a huge scandal and we vote years early, I will be 18 by the next election. I must say that from what I have seen Turnbull is better than Nelson was.
Wear gaudy colours or avoid display. It's all the same.
Be warned, I will use walls of polysyllables and complex clauses as a defence against lucid argument.

Kevin Rudd is the most fake, selfishly-orientated, self-promoting cunning bastard of a politician this country currently has.
Turnbull is arrogant, but he wins this race by default.
Bring back Howard and Beazley I say.

Rudd for PM because he actually addressed issues that the public wanted dealt with. Saying sorry, Kyoto and Work Choices are the obvious examples.
It will be extremely difficult for the coalition to regain any respect from the electorate after Howard's disgusting ignorance of real people and real issues. By pushing economic unfairness and divisive racist culturally ignorant views on Australians and the rest of the world he lost alot of integrity for the party. I was overseas, boat people and Cronulla do not look very good.
I say good luck trying to convince people that so overwhelmingly rejected the coalition last year that you have now changed for the better and are prioritising people over other factors.

I hated Howard with a passion. While the GST tax is a cash cow it has hurt the average Australian. Also work choices was no choice at all.

Rudd has addressed issues? He didn't say the issues were saying sorry and Kyoto, he said the issues were reconciliation and climate change. He said sorry and signed Kyoto, two completely nice yet useless in any practical sense, attempts to garner electoral support.
Rudd is the wealthiest politician in parliament at the moment. He spents half his time in his publically funded jet flying around the world shaking hands with celebrities. Howard spent more money on welfare than any PM in history. And what the hell did Howard have ANYTHING to do with Cronulla?

Actually, no. Turnbull is. He has slightly over twice as much money as Rudd, and most of Rudd's money is from his wife.

I'll most probably vote for Labor next election as I'm quite happy with the results so far, plus the liberals were in power for far too long and thats never good for a democracy.
