Rudd for PM because he actually addressed issues that the public wanted dealt with. Saying sorry, Kyoto and Work Choices are the obvious examples.

It will be extremely difficult for the coalition to regain any respect from the electorate after Howard's disgusting ignorance of real people and real issues. By pushing economic unfairness and divisive racist culturally ignorant views on Australians and the rest of the world he lost alot of integrity for the party. I was overseas, boat people and Cronulla do not look very good.

I say good luck trying to convince people that so overwhelmingly rejected the coalition last year that you have now changed for the better and are prioritising people over other factors.

Rudd has addressed issues?  He didn't say the issues were saying sorry and Kyoto, he said the issues were reconciliation and climate change.  He said sorry and signed Kyoto, two completely nice yet useless in any practical sense, attempts to garner electoral support.

Rudd is the wealthiest politician in parliament at the moment.  He spents half his time in his publically funded jet flying around the world shaking hands with celebrities.  Howard spent more money on welfare than any PM in history.  And what the hell did Howard have ANYTHING to do with Cronulla?
