Forums - Sony - I need help fixing my ps3 -ASAP!

Try unplugging it. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before plugging it back in. It has to do with the console's internal battery.

Also check your HDD. You should be seeing that amber HDD blinking right when you turn on your console.

If you don't have a spare 2.5" SATA HDD, not much you can do other than remove the HDD caddy, remove any dust from the HDD bay and HDD connectors and then plug the caddy back in.

take to sony dude, they are fixing many ps3 even after warranty expired.

well if your desperate open it and take out the internal battery, that will reset it all the way, but id advise against it if you do not do general pc repair, the risk of damaging the hardware further and costing more to replace outweights the 150 dollars it is right now,

Yeah Starcraft, as the sites main defender of the biggest failing console you should probably know when to just keep your mouth shut. Go play on your 360 and let us help the poor original poster.

A whole bunch of people trying to help him and you have to troll. Post reported and I suggest anyone else who feels that you posted just to troll to do the same.

@OP: Just call Sony and send it in. Hardware can fail and you are just one of the few who has had it happen. Soory to see that happen, but there's always a 2% chance it could happen to you. Seems the odds are against you m8.

it hard to choose from the hundred plus more games he has to choose from than PS3 only owners.  BTW OP don't open your system... better to fork over 150 then have to buy a new system for 400.

Its best to send it to Sony. They will know what to do
