No they wont.

FFXIII isn't important as it is no longer exclusive. Versus is, and always has been, the most anticipated title of this generation for any and all platforms.

This to some extent, Versus XIII is confirmed World-Wide PS3 Exclusive, and i'll be picking that one up day one, since its basicly a FFVII Advent children Action JRPG style game based off of FFVII and KH, all of that wraped up into a PS3 Exclusive is an Insta buy, as for Final Fantasy Regular XIII, i for one dont really care since the main series Fails HARD after 10, i say if versus XIII and agito XIII dont save the saga nothing will.

Wow.

I was joking.

Now having said all that I tend to disagree strongly with some of the assertions made by Zenfolder and shadowblind. From experience most ps3 fanboys I know are very intelligent and use logical arguments and not stupid outburts. It's just that the few which are vocal tend to put the majority in a bad light.

lol, which PS3 fanboys do you know, and where is this magical mystery forum that I must become a part of?

I can name 3 that could challenge me in battle, and zero that I would count on to give a fair and balanced argument, were an important fanboy war to spring up.

I know a few but see no reason to bring them up. I think everyone should speak for themselves. In any case my argument wasn't about who would win in a fanboy battle as you put it but against the assertion that all or most Sony fanboys are the same. In the past I have actually agreed with a lot of the things you have said but this isn't one of those times.

I said 90 percent roughtly, are hipocrites about FFVersesXIII, because I remember a time when Verses was barely mentioned, and XIII was touted widely by all PS3 fanboys. That's not everyone, and there are obviously exceptions.

Now, on to the other part of your post. You say that sometimes you agree with me, and sometimes you don't. That's good. If everyone agreed with me all the time, I'm doing something very wrong. That said, I can't afford to worry what anyone thinks about me on this forum. I've flamed the hell out of some of my favorite posters on this board, because I felt they were in the wrong at the time.

I can't afford to simply agree or disagree with anything simply because it goes against the grain, or goes against what people want to hear. If you lost respect for me, then that's the price I have to pay. If I cave in on my beliefs in any one of my posts, or don't tell the truth, or what I believe to be the truth at the time, then I wouldn't be worth respecting.

Now, I want to speak to CGI-Quality. My intent was never to flame the PS3. It was to flame PS3 fanboys. I said that 90 percent of them were at one point more excited about XIII than Verses, and now it's the other way around. 90 percent is just a guess, but that number doesn't matter. I should replace it with "vast majority" since it's become an issue. Now, you might not have been in that vast majority, but the vast majority did exist, and they changed their mind about the game over-night. Most PS3 fanboys feel the same way you do. They feel that games on the PS3 are just better. Now, excuse me for believing that's the most ignorant thing I've ever heard, but that's how I feel. Anyway, lets set that aside for a moment, and focus on why they changed their minds about FFXIII. They changed their minds about the game because it was going to the Xbox 360. Not because they thought the game would be reduced in quality, and not because they felt betreyed by Square. It's because they felt the game now hurt, instead of helped their ongoing battle to bring prestige and justification to the owning of the PS3. It certainly hurt the PS3's image as the dominant console for a few days. This game was the cause of it, and now a lot of PS3 fanboys hate it, or at least want it marginalized.

Just because the few enlightened PS3 fanboys on here might have a different reason for hating FFXIII(which is quite a f'n coincidence if you ask me), doesn't mean that my original assertion isn't 100 percent obviously correct. The assertion is that the vast majority of PS3 fanboys now perfer Verses over XIII. The reason, I speculate, is because the game was announced as a multiplat with the Xbox 360. The excuse is "X japanese guy develops verses, XIII will lose quality because it's on Xbox, ect, PS3 exclusives have better graphics, ect." Maybe some of you mean them, most don't.

I'm not hating. I'm stating what I believe is a fact. When I have 100 people, who yesterday told me that FFXIII was the best thing since sliced bread, and when those very same people, the next day, tell me "hey FFXIII is on the 360 now, Verses was much better anyway." I just have a hard time swallowing that their decision to say that didn't somehow center around the game going multiplat, and hurting their prescious PS3's public image in the process.

I'm not hating. I'm stating the obvious, and while it's not always pleasent to hear, I'm in too deep to simply back out now. My assertion and basic argument is undeinably correct. I'm not saying PS3 fans are stupid, I'm just saying that some of them are biased sometimes, and thus make decisions and opinions that might be based of said bias. Many of them(not all of them) often tend to repeat the same lines over and over again. I refer to this as the Sony fanbook. It's the talking points of the PS3 nation.

I'm glad you love your PS3. It's a great and fantastic console. I'm glad you prefer PS3 exclusives, though I think you are wrong about them "being better" because I think the basic premise of that argument is flawed. I think that if PS3 exclusives are better, and I'm not saying they are not, it is likely because of the programmers, and not the hardware.

So, please, stop calling me a hater. Cause even if I am one, you've already said that plenty of times in this thread, and it's starting to rub me the wrong way, so cool it.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.

I think this thread is pointless and people are making too much out of nothing. Sure a lot of Sony fanboys are angry that one of their most anticipated exclusives has gone multi-platform but that doesn't mean that most of them will come on the forums complaining.
As someone has already pointed out most people kept quiet when the big announcement was made and it was mostly the most vocal fanboys making the noise.
I do believe that in general, games which are exclusive for a console tend to turn out better as the development team can optimize the game for the console without having to worry about the two versions being equal. I'm not saying here which console is more powerful and better for games. I am simply saying that considering that the ps3 and 360 have differing architectures that it can be difficult making games equal without downgrading certain aspects of a game.

For the record I do believe that both consoles have certain advantages and disadvantages and for the most part because of the current market situation, most 3rd party games will be multi platform.

Now having said all that I tend to disagree strongly with some of the assertions made by Zenfolder and shadowblind. From experience most ps3 fanboys I know are very intelligent and use logical arguments and not stupid outburts. It's just that the few which are vocal tend to put the majority in a bad light.

Fine...turn a blind eye. Sony fanboys have complained. After E3, it was all the rage and a war broke out between the 360 fanboys and the Sony fanboys. Im not an advocate for either faction, but this gen i've realized that 360 owners have more logical arguments. Last gen the fans of the orignal Xbox were morons who were graphics whores. This gen that role goes with flying colors to the PS3 fanboys. Most people did not keep their mouth shut. People were bitching in homes, on forums, myspace, videogame sites and more. To ignore the truth is the sad part.

I agree with you that because of the current market situation that most 3rd party games will be multiplatform. I haven't met a PS3 fanboy who hasn't had a biased argument. I had to deal with that same nonsense from Xbox fanboys last gen while Nintendo fanboys were the ones bitching because they were in last but had valid and historically backed arguments (in most cases). Nintendo really don't have much to argue about today, and I don't know why they defend the Wii. The Wii isn't exactly trying to go toe to toe with the other systems. It's doing it's own thing and thats what makes it beautiful and unique.

I this gen happen to be a PS360 guy, because that just so happens to suit my tastes. Microsoft has been able to pump out alot of great diverse games that I can play though.

I'm with you on this one for sure. +1 QFT. I am a witness to the hypocrisy. I remember during the E3 360 conference I was in a forum and a chat and both exploded after the SE 3 JRPG's went multiplat with timed exclusivity. The Sony fanboys stated "At least we have FFXIII, those games will never sell on the 360." Boom as karma would have it afterward the Sony fanboys got bitchslapped by their hatred for the 360 in denial of its breaking of new ground with SE unveiling that FFXIII was going multiplat. Hell froze over and PS3 fans sounded like they popped a vein in their cranium. From then on i've never heard a kind word about FFXIII. It's ALWAYS been about versus.

To me...i'll be having both games. I still considered Versus a side game, since it is not the MAIN GAME. If memory serves me correct as well, the side game for the FF main franchise games are always less appealing after being played than the first. The side games may get more commercial time, but they wont win out over the original.

When I speak of fanboys of which I am "generalizing", i'm talking about a large amount of faction building morons who type on their computer everyday backing up their more powerful console. FACT: For the past two generations the most powerful systems were never in first and that has always been hard to swallow. It reduces things to shallow arguments. When you advocate everything blindly you are a unpaid messenger for corporations like MS and Sony (Who don't need you, but your money will do). I have no party lines. There is only my opinion and I side with the consoles that gather the most 3rd party titles, have the largest and most diverse library and have just good enough graphics for me to enjoy the furtherance of the gen.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you and am equally appauled (a bit strong, I suppose) when people magically turn overnight from anticipating XIII more to vsXIII simply because it was then a multiplat. And I, too, think that it is quite a large amount of people. We just simply have a different idea of what a fanboy is, I consider myself a Final Fantasy fanboy just the same as I consider myself a Montreal Canadiens fanboy because I fervently follow both and am pretty much obessed with both, while not advertising them or pushing them in anyway... but now I'm just talking semantics and so I concede.

Sorry for misinterupting your post. Just a little difference in what we think a fanboy is.
