FUCK NEITHER! I can't sit by idly while you guys mirc my three most anticipated games of this generation!

...Spare me. FF started with Nintendo with main series. All Nintendo has left now are side games like crystal chronicles that SE pumps out to quench the thirst of the avid Nintendo fans. Why would they care now? It's a fact that a good enough portion of the PS2 owners ended up buying the 360 and the Wii. This was done, so that they can make up for what FF will lack in revenue on the PS3 side since alot of people defected and Microsoft has had a steady active  installed  base and recently Sony attained near to theirs.

My question to the masses is market share.... is it really that complex?  The PS3 is in third place yes but can we add the Wii and the 360 together please? We have to subtract some numbers because Nintendo has trumpted that they aren't selling to gamers they are selling to parents and grandparents but lets ignore that and move to the 360. Like any big company would do the warranty was only extended AFTER people were on their 6/7th 360 but lets not bother subtrating a quarter or half million consoles.. how well is the 360 selling? Well after nearly 4 years (one year with no competition) it hasn't even reached the 25 million of the original Xbox... really really great sales there. So even not subtracting what we shoudl for a somewhat accurate conclusion where are the huge inroads that the compeition made into Sony's "devoted userbase"? I don't see it, but I flunked out of math so perhaps someone can enlighten me.. thanks.

I think this thread is pointless and people are making too much out of nothing. Sure a lot of Sony fanboys are angry that one of their most anticipated exclusives has gone multi-platform but that doesn't mean that most of them will come on the forums complaining.
As someone has already pointed out most people kept quiet when the big announcement was made and it was mostly the most vocal fanboys making the noise.
I do believe that in general, games which are exclusive for a console tend to turn out better as the development team can optimize the game for the console without having to worry about the two versions being equal. I'm not saying here which console is more powerful and better for games. I am simply saying that considering that the ps3 and 360 have differing architectures that it can be difficult making games equal without downgrading certain aspects of a game.

For the record I do believe that both consoles have certain advantages and disadvantages and for the most part because of the current market situation, most 3rd party games will be multi platform.

Now having said all that I tend to disagree strongly with some of the assertions made by Zenfolder and shadowblind. From experience most ps3 fanboys I know are very intelligent and use logical arguments and not stupid outburts. It's just that the few which are vocal tend to put the majority in a bad light.

I can name 3 that could challenge me in battle, and zero that I would count on to give a fair and balanced argument, were an important fanboy war to spring up.

Thanks dude. It's just a shame that these kind of topics are constantly brought up, although I can see how they would be entertaining for some. I say it's a shame because the next few months will be an extremely exciting time to be a gamer as we will be overwhelmed by quality titles across all consoles. And instead of focusing on that a lot of people prefer geting into pointless arguments. Oh well I guess we gotta always take the good with the bad.

 This to some extent, Versus XIII is confirmed World-Wide PS3 Exclusive, and i'll be picking that one up day one, since its basicly a FFVII Advent children Action JRPG style game based off of FFVII and KH, all of that wraped up into a PS3 Exclusive is an Insta buy, as for Final Fantasy Regular XIII, i for one dont really care since the main series Fails HARD after 10, i say if versus XIII and agito XIII dont save the saga nothing will.

I know a few but see no reason to bring them up. I think everyone should speak for themselves. In any case my argument wasn't about who would win in a fanboy battle as you put it but against the assertion that all or most Sony fanboys are the same. In the past I have actually agreed with a lot of the things you have said but this isn't one of those times.
