Some guy at the Official Playstation blog commented that "the day will come when you get trophies in almost every game then you will complain about something else" and John Diamonon of Capcom left a teasing note as a reply, stating that "...and that day is coming soon." Obviously, this suggests that PS3 trophy support will be mandatory for all games in the future.

it was only a matter of time before they made it mandatory. but even when trophies are in every game someone will still bitch about something

That's not a surprise.
I saw an interview of a Capcom guy recently that said it was part of the required deliverable for future games.
What impact wether a game has trophies or not is the time at which the company signed the PS3 software licence and their willingness to go the extra mile if they signed it before trophies were a deliverable ( Sony can't force games to support trophies if the companie developing those games signed the PS3 software licence before the trophie requirement was added to it)...

it'll still happen because those thay say that prolly have done that for many multi-plats for the achievements, which means that they care about achievements and prolly have a big gamerscore or want to increase it further. They won't start from scratch on a PS3.
