I thought it was a fantastic game, but not the greatest game ever, there are many little flaws... it is far too dark and I die to much.... that second one is probably my fault

Its actually quite solid... and its a action game so talking is isn´t that important...

All weapons were good and made sence... you must be used to games with dozens of stylish yet useless weapons... in a real war all you have is your rifle, maybe a shotgun, sniper rifle, rocket/grenade launcher, pistol... thats all you really need...

Really, I respect your opinion, but I can't take it seriously when you use comments such as "the controls are awful" without giving examples. I'm not saying you're wrong or aren't entitled to your opinion (though I personally disagree with it), but you really should give it some more substance.

I personally thought Gears was an absolute thrill ride, with tightly-honed controls (I could easily, quickly, and efficiently advance from cover to cover, unlike Rainbow Six or Uncharted), and when playing against opponents of equal skill there is a tension in the multiplayer more palpable than any game I've ever played.

it would of been a whole lot better if it hadn't recieved the award for the most laggiest online ever made and giving the host a laughably unfair advantage.

despite what i say, i think the game is phenomenal, as you can see by my gamercard, i play it a lot.

but.. they need to stop talking about this gaming being better than resistance and make the online less laggy.

One of my favorite games of all time. The only multiplayer games I have ever played more (300+ hours) were Halo CE and Team Fortress 2.

The voice acting is great, and has won several awards.
Controls are extremely well tuned, and highly praised by the industry.
Weapons are alright. Some very inspired, others very classic.
I don't really know about AI. Any harder and insane would have actually been hard.

I suspect the reason why many areas of the game required players to repeat a 10-15 minute section of the game every time they died was to prolong the play length of the short campaign.

Clever, no?

It does get pretty annoying after the 3rd or 4th repeat in a row though.
