Doesn't it only use 2 buttons and a d-pad?
Good idea on the trying the wiimote superchunk, and did you try the D-pad and the analog stick on the GC controler? Also Waivebird or standard?

I'm not a big fan of the small D pad on Wiimote (Id much rather have the reg nintendo controller but i haven't bought that peripheral yet)

I too would just use the wiimote sideways, but if he wants to play with the gamecube controler thats his call.

If everything else fails, delete the game and download it again.

The d-pad on the GC controller is tiny and in an odd spot. You would be better off getting a classic controller if you want a normal d-pad in a normal spot.
yeah i've been using the wiiremote since the gamecube one isn't working but like I said I would rather use the gamecube controller --I want to use the analog stick on it and not the d pad.....Ive used the gamecube analog stick for a few other games that originally just used the d pad and i liked it that's why i want the gamecube controller

Who knows? Maybe Capcom wanted to go totally classic/retro and decided to use a controller that most resembles the old NES controller.
I'll come up with something better eventually...
