Forums - Gaming - Mega Man 9 is HERE!!!!!1

Well, I learned an important lesson today. Apparently, and despite beating 7 of the last 8 games, I suck at Mega Man. Although I will say that the patterns for the disappearing blocks are a lot easier then they normally are, thank god.

Should I buy this game if I couldn't complete Lost Levels?

If there are no saves at all then I will get too frustrated with it.

you can save after each lvl.

Huzzah, I like a challenge, but I don't like having to do it all at once.... it must have been even worse in the non-VC lost levels.

I want to download this, maybe I'll get it Friday when I get more money.

Anyone got Hornet Man's weapon? It's really awesome. :D

I got 20 wiipoints and Megaman 1,2 and 9 for some great awesome.

First stage I jumped into was concrete man. I was feelin the old school love, kickin some ass. I was shooting all the bird rocks before the could hit the ground, hadn't gotten hit. Got to the first jump, I shoot a bird, jump, at the last second out of nowhere a little green thing jumps out of the hole, hits me, I plummet to my instant death. You gotta love old school.

So far I've beat Galaxy man, and that's it. Magma man and hornet man's stages are frikkin hard.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

So I got up to Wily but couldn't beat him. Decided I needed some M/E tanks...left the tower. Word of advice: DON'T. You have to do Wily's Fortress all over again if you leave it. Get everything you need (including the half damage for the last level) BEFORE you go there.

EDIT: Some more helpful hints, I've figured out the boss weakness chain.
Plug Man -> Tornado Man -> Magma Man -> Hornet Man -> Splash Woman -> Concrete Man -> Galaxy Man -> Jewel Man -> Plug Man

Plug Ball works wonders on Tornado Man and can it him if he's floating near the ceiling. The ball also destroys the whirlwinds he summons so you don't have to jump all around to avoid them.

Tornado Blow weakens Magma Man and puts out his flame (roffle), making his shots smaller and weaker.

Magma Bazooka wrecks Hornet Man and his little hornets easily.

It's easy to spam the Hornet Chaser on Splash Woman, especially in her face. Just don't use it too much when she summons the fish because the hornets chase them instead...

The Laser Trident tears through Concrete Man but has no visible drawbacks on him that I can see.

Concrete Shot wrecks Galaxy man but again, I don't think it has any major drawbacks on him.

Blackhole Bomb rapes Jewel Man and cancels out his jewel satellite.

Jewel Satellite wrecks Plug Man and deflects his projectiles.
I'm not sure what works on the bosses in Wily's Fortress, I mostly used the buster.
