| disolitude said: The games you listed are all kind of ok in my mind...Burnout is cool but id personally recomend Too Human - I know, people may blast me for this. Its a game that has some issues and glitches. Also it takes a good hour to get going properly as for the first hour you are stuck with chunky controls and useless weapons. However, by the second level...if you've gotten 15 experience points or more and have given yourself proper skills...this game is amazing. Fighting the hordes of machines is hella fun if you have the proper weapons and powerups. Also it has a wicked story...and coop is amazing if you find someone to play with online. I have rockband 2 and merceneries 2 sitting collecting dust until i finish too human. |
I'm not going to blast you because I had a lot of fun with Too Human also. I was turned off by the demo at first but went back and played it again and it started to grow on me. I bought the game used and the more I played the more fun I had. Only now is it starting to get a little stale but I've put in around 70+ hours into the game. I can think of a lot of games that were reviewed much higher that I only spent a fraction of the time with. I would say if you like hack-n-slash games and go in with an open mind then you may have a really enjoyable time.
Other than that I would say most of the other genres have been represented pretty well. Your criteria cuts out a lot of any library of games. I guess the only thing I could add would maybe be some music or party games. Rock Band 1/2, Guitar Hero, Scene it (if you're into movies), or maybe Katamari which should be $20 now.
