Forums - Microsoft - 360 Recommendations: Hard Mode

My Wii has had too much action for too long.  It's time for a turn around.

Someone recommend me some 360 games that aren't RPG's, FPS's, TPS's, RTS's or Sandbox.

Games for the 360 I currently have:

Gears of War

Kameo

Enchanted Arms

Saint's Row

Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion

Dead or Alive 4

Sonic the Hedgehog (06)

Games I'm thinking about..

Assassin's Creed

Burnout Paradise

Soul Calibur 4

Someone help please.  Thanks in advance.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Skate is good if you're up for a challenge. It's basically a sim skating game, as opposed to more the arcade style Tony Hawk series. Burnout is decent, but the developers didn't really tailor the game to an open environment all that well. If you've got friends who play it that's great, but single player can be a real drag. All the challenges tend to feel the same after not long.

I'd just rent Assassin's Creed. It's a polarizing game, and you can beat it over the weekend.

EDIT: You can also consider one of the Viva Pinata games if you're keen on a gardening sim. They feel like kind of a werid mix of Harvest Moon, Pokemon, and the Sims. First one is like $20 now.

Hack and slash? - Devil May Cry 4, Ninja Gaiden II
Racing? - PURE, Burnout Paradise, GRID
Something different? - Viva Pinata TIP

Why not take a stab at XBLA? - Braid, Geometry Wars 2, Castle Crashers

The games you listed are all kind of ok in my mind...Burnout is cool but id personally recomend

Ridge Racer 6 - Great gameplay, good price and really REALLY adictive world tour mode. I've sunk over 25 hours in to the game.

Crackdown - Sandbox game that is what Merceneries 2 should have been, should be 20 bucks new

Dead Rising - must have for the 360, should be cheap to buy

And finally...

Too Human - I know, people may blast me for this. Its a game that has some issues and glitches. Also it takes a good hour to get going properly as for the first hour you are stuck with chunky controls and useless weapons. However, by the second level...if you've gotten 15 experience points or more and have given yourself proper skills...this game is amazing. Fighting the hordes of machines is hella fun if you have the proper weapons and powerups. Also it has a wicked story...and coop is amazing if you find someone to play with online. I have rockband 2 and merceneries 2 sitting collecting dust until i finish too human.

I'm tired of cookie cutter games too. Somebody recommend ME some 360 games that don't come on DVD's or DLC!! So far I have:

Toss the 360
Masturbate While the 360 Watches II
Super Controller Charge
Mastubate While the 360 Watches IV: The Coming
Masturbate While the 360 Watches III: Masturbate Harder
Subscription Card Poker

I definitely think you should pick up Assassin's Creed. I loved that game to death.

I can't believe you're missing the original 'Masturbate While the 360 Watches'! Your collection is lacking.

OT: Assassins Creed is great but very samey all the way through. Burnout is fantastic, esp with the new DLC. Or give Forza 2 a whirl.

Tomb Raider Legend is a blast, and it's gorgeous.

The Simpsons Game is surprisingly good.

Conan is a good diversion.

Dead Rising is frustrating, different, and a must play.

Ninja Gaiden 2
Dead Rising
Viva Pinanta : TIP

BioShock or Mass Effect
