They said they don't know when they will release the patch, they didn't say it will be out by the time of release. I don't know how it will affect the game, but I do know a feature which was prominently talked about won't be in the intial game. I just want developers to release complete games, based on what they said is complete, and not versions which lack some major feature or another. (Basically no on-line multiplayer).

Just realized what you meant by the last line. If you will be happy even if they seal the game with a pile of crap and all you can do with the actual game is just wave his armms around until they patch it. Then more power to you, some gamers expect complete games upon release.

@vlad: There's no 4 person online creation at launch (ie: no 4 player online level building). You can still play through levels with your friends online and you can play your made levels with 4 people online. Saying "basically no on-line multiplayer" is BS and you know it.

^ Alright fair enough, but you can't argue that a major part of the hype machine was also the on-line creation mode. They are effectively failing to deliver on their promises and hype. Makes me wonder if they cut other corners to get this game out for the holiday season.

 Nor is the 360 price drop...

Your really over exaggerating this one patch, bra. Just don't play it. I'm tired of coming into this thread seeing you complain. Your the only one doing it in the first place. Be happy that LBP is coming out. Obliviously not a lot of LBP care about how they are patching this one measly feature on after a update.

^ My roommate does and I was planning on playing it there. I will still play it if he gets it but now he's even more reluctant to buy than he was before (too kiddie he says) and I sure as hell aren't gonna buy the game, even if he's my best friend and I know I'll have the PS3 access until I finish college. Also LBP is nothing big for me to buy a 2nd PS3 console for the house. But I'm arguing here about the general mindset of the developers. They shouldn't be releasing games based on time of year but based on the completion of their product, it's not just LBP. It's also not a measely feature considering how hyped up it was to begin with. Everywhere I'd be reading about "OMG you can create with your friends using the internetz!!1!11"

well this game is all about being together whilst playing, so it is good that they got multi player ofline. as for online that is a lil disappointing and relay should come out of the box but it is not a big deal for me though,

but it is better that he off line is finished. online can get changed at any point because people who are going to be on it will obviously have the internet. but it is still a bad idea. But for the best sales you need to time the release just right.
