Not at all. People that wanted a PS3 but were waiting for it to be cheaper will still be getting one now or still waiting. Whatever a gamer wants, he/she is waiting for their console of choice to be the right price, or for the right game, in most circumstances. Of course there are some that have yet to decide which one they want yet, and this is where the price drops have the largest impact I believe.

I still say the Core is crap though, sorry, to take such a large step back after having an HD in the last gen is kinda stupid. A 20gb HD couldn't cost more than $20 at wholesale in these quantities. That and a wireless controller are the only differences you pay an extra $100 for, right?
