Forums - Sales - 360 price cut not effective?

why can't the psp outsell the ds ?

Not a good comparison.

General widsom dictates:

1. The 360 arguably has the best library amongst competing consoles. The PSP arguably doesn't.

2. The 360 is the cheapest console amongst its competitors. The PSP is the most expensive.

3. The 360 has a great christmas lineup and beyond. The PSP is in a gaming drout as confirmed by release schedule, Sony, and most PSP owners on this forum in several related topics.

4. The 360 just had a large price cut, and is giving away expensive games for free. The PSP isn't doing either thing.

5. The 360's main competitors, the Wii and PS3, both have problems of their own. The PSP's main competitor is one of the most successful consoles of all time, has 3rd party support beyond belief, an amazing library, is backwards compatable with the most successful console of all time, and is popular beyond belief in all regions.

So, once again, that's a very poor comparison. I can say that without getting into what each console "deserves" like we did in another topic.

my point is the psp has better value deals then the ds but gets outsold by miles.. it is a good comparison

Another joke thread I see. You have no clue how many 360s Future Shop moved with the two free games deal with the price cut.

I disagree. People don't buy the PSP for a completely different reason than why people don't buy the PSP.

As far as "better value" deals, Sony fanboys would tell you that the PS3 is a "better value deal" than the 360.

Those deals are a symptom of poor sales, yes, but that's where the similarity ends. It's like saying John and Mack must have the same disease because they are both coughing.

Coughing is a symptom of many diseases.

Your point is correct, however your comparison from before is still poor.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

hmm Should I pointed out that the wii and ds can't be stopped by mortals?

It's had no effect whatsoever at my store. It's just completely dead. Like Dreamcast was.

Then again we just cut down even more space for the 360 here due to shitty sales. Only 1 tiny wall section left for the 360, while the PS3 was increased to 5 walls.
