Forums - Sales - 360 price cut not effective?

I was just looking through a Future Shop flyer and saw they are giving away Gears of War and the new Star Wars game with all pro and arcade units.  Now why would a store give away two games, one thats a AAA title and sells for $40,  and another one that just came out and sells for $60, when the 360 just had a price cut.  If the systems are selling this would make no sense.  So now you can basically buy the pro for $200, and the arcade for $100.  You could always take the unopened games to Wal-mart and say they were a gift, and the store will most likely give you store credit.

Why can't the 360 outsell the Wii with these kinda deals.

why can't the psp outsell the ds ?

They are trying to lure people to buy their 360 there... after this those people will think future shop is a great store and will buy 75% of their Xbox 360 games there.

If they have to bundle games with an already cheaper console it OBVIOUSLY means the CUT DID NOT WORK, this is just how Homebuilders will Throw in Incentives to buy a house IE. Pools, Upgrades .... To try to lure you in, If they didn't have to put these games in then they obviously wouldn't.

But the store would need to sell atleast 8 games to each person to make this loss back.  Is this really a wise move, and if its a wise move then why would the store not give away equal deals to PS3 or wii buyers.

Yes cause Future Shop is obviously WalMart... oh that's right... Future Shop is a spec on the field of gaming.  If Walmart was trying to do this because of overstock that's a diffrent story.  Besides did you even ask why they were doing it?  I'm sure the employee would tell you unless specified not to.

Isn't Future Shop the largest consumer electronics retailer in Canada? This thread is obviously about Canada and I don't think Walmart is bigger than Future Shop up there.
