Forums - Nintendo - Are you going to give Red Steel 2 a chance?

No, never. I'm not supporting a dirty company. And I don't think people care anymore for them. This week, the biggest flops were 2 Ubisoft games: Hell's Kitchen and Price is Right. I hope they cancel this game, the first one was absolutely terrible. It had fatal bugs crash the whole system, very very bad quality. Wii doesn't need that, The Conduit is a much better choice.

If you buy The Conduit instead of Red Zteelz Z you will be supporting a dev that is making a great effort on the Wii, but if you buy RZ2 you will be supporting the release of more crap in the future.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Flops are games that are expected to be good or at least sell well. I doubt ANYBODY expected any of those games to sell well.

I dont give a shit about supporting or boycotting certain companies dude. I'll buy what I think is fun its as simple as that when it comes to my gaming.

It's strange, but VGChartz is the only site I visit where Wii owners in general are excited for Ubisoft games and agree with what the company is doing on the Wii. A lot of people here seem to like the crap that Ubisoft, without being ashamed poured on the Wii and later made fun of it's userbase + spit on them and lied. Now we got another stupid promise from that Yves Guillmot dude about quality games taking time... We already heard that before, but people watch him like he's God himself and that disgusts me.

You need to distinguish an arrogant company like Ubisoft from the rest. DS and Wii had been treated like the worst of the worst. Ubisoft doesn't deserve the smallest support. And we know that they will keep on releasing 1,000$ games, dirty ports, quick spin offs or any shit. EVERY single game they released on the Wii was a piece of SHIT. Save for Rayman Raving Rabbids 1 (Which was a multiplat game). How can you have good expectations and actually be glad for a game that they are making? Those games are insults to us, and if you buy any of their games you are not only insulting yourself, but insulting every other Wii owner. You are helping the enemy.

Ubisoft is the only company I wish bankrupcy upon. I hope it happens.

Ridiculous hatred for a company in some of the posts above.

I don't see the point in hating Ubisoft or any boycott. It's dumb. If you don't like a particular game, don't buy it. Many of their games are obviously not aimed at the hardcore. Sure, games like Petz, Catz, Dogz and whatever game they can add a "Z" at the end to aren't going to be very good in our eyes but at the same time, those games aren't for us anyway. Somebody like small kids or whoever must enjoy them or Ubisoft wouldn't be making them. I don't see the point in so much outrage for them when there have been far worse shovelware games from other developers and publishers.

Ubisoft has given a few good games like the Raving Rabbits, Prince of Persia and No More Heroes. The upcoming Brothers In Arms as well as Shaun White Snowboarding could be very games too, although the latter is more likely to be. So why hate a publisher for coming out with some mostly original games instead of actual shovelware like many others are doing.

And yes, I'd be interested in Red Steel 2 and would check it out if not actually buy it as I'm not a big FPS gamer.

I'll come up with something better eventually...
