Forums - Sony - PSN issues. A real pain in my backside. Help please.

When I try to download a system update it seems to work fine.

When I try to play my games online it seems to work fine.

When I try to update a game, Folding @ Home, etc... it says error occured and I am logged out of PSN.

WTF? This is really annoying, I can't even update my damn games.

Wireless by the way.

I wanted to install Life with Playstation so the PS3 downloading and installed Folding @ Home, but when it comes times to update for Life with Playstation... BAM!!! Error, you have been signed out.

I can't update any of my games either, so right now I can not gain trophies in PAIN, can't update games like Resistance, etc...

If I can't update my games, how the hell do I play them Online?

I find this really sad to be honest. My Wii and PS3 give me problems and my 360 is clean as a whistle. Oh the irony.

This isn't the first issue either. I can't even use my PS3 controllers without hooking them up via USB cable first. If I do not hook them up with USB the PS3 will not recognize them.

As of right now I am in a big "F**k you Sony" mode.

actually all you need to do is disable media servers in your network settings

Yep its the media servers from your network settings, since your probably using the same router as your computer, the connections get tangled up (wierd since its wireless) and it signs you out.

You know what, you guys may just made me feel like a moron right now. Thank you!!!

I recently did a "restore default settings" on my PS3. I always had the media server thing disabled. I completely forgot that it would enable it again.

Wow... "F**k you Sony" mode off.

Thanks for making this angry gamer feel silly.

No quick fix for my controllers though.

Have you tried Resseting the Controllers?

wait what's wrong with your controllers?

The controllers will not work when I turn on the PS3. When I press the PS button the 4 lights flash and then go off. When I plug in the USB cord and then press the PS button the PS3 will recognize the controller and then it works as usual. I can then take the USB cord back out and use it wireless. Other than that, I can not use it at all.

@Blazinhead89

I tried holding the reset button on the back of the controller, resetting PS3 default settings (not HDD formatting) and installing a new PS3 update.

None so far have worked.
