A: It didn’t feel natural to us, I guess. It really was that the DS felt like it had a lot of interesting challenges that would be totally different from what we’d done in the past. The stylus and the chance to use minigames in that way was really interesting and exciting to us, and we thought we could integrate seamlessly between those two modes. And it would be the chance to make something really good on a handheld with our handheld-focused team. That was really why we went that way. We haven’t really done any concrete, major thinking about the Wii, one way or another. They’re sort of separate issues."

I guess this still doesn't rule out the possibility of a GTA in future.

I would have prefered it being on the wii, but since they like the DS for more "innovative and new" ideas, then its cool.

Misleading title. From what they've said it looks like Wii was never even an option.

It'd be pretty badass if they did an artistic (cel shaded) GTA on the Wii later on, with a good control scheme. I didn't think they were willing to go for that style, as they've just been pushing towards realism before. That would keep the game from looking too inferior to the HD versions. Just look at Wind Waker, the game still looks amazing...

They're making a GTA game for the DS because it's a sales beast.

They'll eventually be making a GTA game for the Wii because it's a sales beast too.

They just didn't start thinking about the Wii version yet. That doesn't rule out that there won't be one in 2-3 years. As long as they don't say "Wii suxxors LULZ", I'm alright.....
