They cut out 'Party Talk' from the Western Release of DQIV (http://tinycartridge.com/post/50062460/dqiv-us-eu-missing-party-talk-feature) which comprises a great deal of the games dialogue. That's been confirmed. This has been removed fromt he game. This is not why I dislike Square-Enix, it is just a new factor in why I don't care for them, forgive me for turning this news item into an excuse to complain about them but that doesn't excuse the fact that this inadequecy in content still exists. Don't act like this is baseless rage. A game has been censored for western audiences, we're getting an incomplete product. That's all there is to this.
If you're fine with that, then good for you. This is not an end of the world matter, just a insult to western audiences. What's funny is I wasn't even making that big a deal out of it (though I guess it appeared to onlookers that I was fucking going nuclear from the responses I'm getting) I was more ales just throwing it out there to see what people thought and confirm the charges in quesiton and you people act like I've tied myself on cross infront of Square-Enix headquarters in protest.
Will you come to the defense of anything so long as I am the one complaining about it? Capcom cuts the end credits out of Okami for the Wii and that's just fine in your eyes, but oh no! When they port Resident Evil 0 to the Wii then that's when you're upset! How dare they try to bring their most requested to be put back into print game onto a successful platform to see it get new legs and strengthen their Hardcore userbase on the Wii.
Reading the responses in here I guess its not hard to see why developers and publishers don't take the Western Audience seriously. You'll be happy so long as you get the game in anyway shape or form.
Sure I responded to this a bit over earnistly, but calm down you dismissive appologists, god forbid anyone voice a complaint that your delicate ears might have to be made audience to. If you don't like the thread then just let it sink to the bottom.
