You can't have more than one Spore account on a Spore game, even if you play at different times and everything. That and the SecuROM issue still exist, therefore the problems remain, even if slightly alleviated.

I think the account thing is going to be addressed. I heard that they'll allow you to make 5 'accounts' per game so that multiple people in a household can play it.

secuROM is the big thing left. everything else is ok, though they should allow multiple accounts online on one copy (not at the same time of course).

Like someone already mentioned none of these things really affect piracy at all, just used game sales. And stuff like secuROM is more likely to get someone to pirate the game than buy it legally.

And that the "rootkit" still installs and mess with my computer in ways that I have no control over.

Then again, I'd suck it up whatever they put in when Diablo 3 comes out and buy it regardless, LOL. But that wouldn't stop me from complaning either.

While I'm still not a fan of the DRM, if they allow us to de-authorize computers, then I'm okay with purchasing the game. Good to hear cries haven't fallen on deaf ears.

Hmm, touche subject, I can't really wrap my head around this or even compartmentalize it, there are some serious issues and used games seems to be the top of it. I'm sure games like GTA suffer from this but games like Madden don't because of the yearly updates... come to think of it what do people do with all those copies of sports games?

It's pretty hopeless to think that we can change your mind about DRM, but could you at least stop mocking those of us with different opinions by referring to the "issue" in "quotation marks" and denigrating the "positions" of people who disagree with you? 

But yes, the deauthorization will be very nice if/when they get it in place.

The whole DRM is a problem and the only solution is taking it out. I don´t want to bet that my computer won´t get problems over this. Is too risky. Take a look at SPore forum and you´ll see a whole lot of complaints for a game just released. Mostly because of Securom. Many threads saying that after they craked the official version, taking out the DRM, they were able to play, with less in-game crashes, also...
I won´t bet. Good luck for those who will...

Possibly the biggest "pulling data out off asses" I've ever seen. My favourite game, Diablo 2, I've installed it in total of no less than 20 times, across over 10 years and 5 machines.

Gotta try better than that, EA. Your horribly excuse is only been outdone by your even worse DRM.
