Wow, ES did really bad on the PS3. I was kind of hoping the game would sell well...
I should say that what might have worked against the PS3 version is that the 360 version is very easy to find cheap here. I think I've seen used game prices for it range from $8-$15 and for new copies it's not unusual to see prices in the $20-$40 range. I mean I picked up my copy of the game (360 version of course) new for ~$30 about 2 or 3 months after the release.

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

More like...Namco's overall strategy is made of fail. The first "real" JRPG didn't do good. Looks like we have to wait for WKC. |
On the contrary, their Wii strategy has been (mostly) made of win. Their PS3 strategy seems like an extension of what they did with Symphonia: give the game to the tiny install base, then port it for more sales. The problem is, the PS3 didn't take off quite the way everyone thought it would and they're basically putting their games on one console no one owns and porting to another platform only a few more people own. I'd think that's why Ace Combat 6 still hasn't gone to the PS3 (despite people swearing me up and down on GameFAQs that it was timed exclusive)...there's little point. Everyone who really wanted the game already has it, and the Ace Combat team is already busy on the Wii.

Time to Work !
Oh christ. A JRPG comes to the PS3 and dont sell well....PS3 is teh doomzed!

Cant believe people are calling ES average. ES was a very good RPG that looked and played beatifuly. I personally just think that Japan for some reason hasnt really embraced the PS3 the way everyone thought after the PS2. Even possibly to say that some use just as cheap Blu Ray. But then I could be completely wrong.
Eternal Sonata should sell 80-90% of the first shipment, first week. Seems like it met Namco's expectations.
I expected a bit more. There must have been no advertising at all.

Very little. No Famitsu review either. Dragon Ball commercials have been running on my train to/from work all week.
