Ewwwww

I never liked the 3d GTA's, if i had a DS i would be excited. the isometric view might solve my complaints about shitty combat(accurate shooting) in those games. Plus having the map available at all times can only help the gameplay. A few steps backward as far as graphics go are acceptable if the gameplay is improved. Isn't that the Nintendo fans mantra as of late anyway?

Wasn't it balki that said "you can't be serious?"

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

wow, thats teh first time ill say ive seen a gross DS game

Yeah, announced at E3 08 for the DS.

Yes, the DS.

Hmm, that's weird this game looks like something I played in the 80's.

Do I need to add sarcasm tags to my original post?

It looks gross because of the highly zoomed photos so that is not a problem. As far as I can tell, that looks like a top down view, though. In other words, it looks like the game will be highly limited by there horrible angle.

It reminds me of GTA II on Gameboy colour, which was a pretty fun game.

Wow I thought it was going to be alot different from this. Looks nice imo.

That's surprising, people think it looks horrible? I mean, besides the fact it's zoomed in scans, it looks better than I expected. I had low expectations due to GTAIV so I ignored the GTA DS announcement, but perhaps I'll actually look into this one...

I like their art direction here - it's like it turns out better when they're graphically limited. It'd be nice if they tried something like this on the home consoles.

Joking, right SC?
