Somehow I doubt one userbase will be forced to pay while the other one will not. That just means that no one will bother buying the PC version. I'm fairly sure that like all other MMOs out there you will be required to pay a monthly fee, for both versions.

Its an MMO of course you will have to pay a monthly fee had to pay one for Everquest on my PS2 back in the day. Cant be free on the PS3 and pay for it on PC

FFXI and EQ for PS2 had monthly fees. FFXI for the 360 had a monthly fee, in addition the the cost of Live.

Actually this is false.  You could play FFXI without a gold membership :)

Same is true for PSU and cross-platform Live for windows games Shadowrun & Lost Planet.

OT: DC Universe will almost positively have a subscription cost.  It shouldn't be a big deal either way because it's been the rule pretty much for any successful MMO to date.

Paying a monthly fee is the norm for an MMO. So since the game is an MMO, regardless of console I will assume that you have to pay a monthly fee until told otherwise by a reputable source.
