Forums - Gaming - Rant - Control in the Star Wars FU is HORRID!!!

I feel really really sorry for many of the staff who worked on this game. Keep in mind that regardless of what artists, coders, musicians want to do it's the design team that has the final word. For many they finished a project and are proud only to hear a large portion of the internet people lambast them.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I urge everyone to come and join me in my fantasy world where Starwars remains a trilogy and the last Starwars videogame made was Knights of the Old Republic.

It's a lovely world free of sadness and pain.

Kotor II wasn't that bad, it just had a rubbish plot compared to the first one.

I have the game and the things that annoy me the most so far (I´m on the third mission):

1 - Falling off a cliff after a sucessful force combo (yes, not because I missed, because I got it right)
2 - The taking to freaking long to get up
3 - he freaking aiming system. It´s horrible, horrible, horrible. I can´t aim unless I´m half an inch away from the enemy. NOt to mention sometimes it decides to focus on somebody I already killed.

This game isn´t all horrible, but it´s not that good either.

I can get on board with this.

KotOR II was a victim of Lucasarts' greed. The game was rushed. The developer had 10 months from concept to product release to do the game. The started the game in February and it released in December. For a game of KotOR II's scope that isn't much time and I actually appreciated how well Obsidian did with the game considering the ridiculous time constraints. They had to cut so much content from the game that they wanted to include because Lucasarts wanted the game out by Christmas. I am still pissed about not having my HK-47 side mission.

Well, I've had problems of my own during the game, but after playing through the whole thing, I can say that I thought it was definitely a good game. Yes, I hated how it takes so long to recover, then when you stand up, you get knocked right back down, I also hate how the targeting system sucks. But the force powers themselves are just too addicting for me... maybe its just because I'm a huge Star Wars fan.

This here is key to the enjoyment for this game. A friend of mine who also is a star wars junkie bought the DS and 360 versions of the game. After he found out that 360 on sucks he bought the Wii version. Today he bought the psp version...

Once you looked past how KotOR2's plot was unfinished and mostly ripped from KotOR1 and how several characters were carbon copies of previous characters, it was a great game.  At least they kept the great stuff like HK-47 (who has more personality than the entire casts of the last several FF games put together).

Many of the third person star wars games have that same kind of lousy control. It happened already with their ps2 games.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

I am bummed my 10 year old wants this and I am trying to explain to him it isnt good we will see if I buy it for him. This game had such potential to be a blockbuster

But it is a good game, or that is at least almost all I've heard about the Wii version.  Rumor has it the PSP version is also ok.  Why not just get him the Wii version?
