I assume you are still getting it
| disolitude said: I can't describe the feeling this game stirs up in me...I can't believe it didn't get a 5 based on control alone. I actually just wrecked a controller throwing it on the ground...i can't even describe how shit this is Like...ninja gaiden series...which is probably the most fluid action game on the market craps on this game in the control aspect like PS3 craps on atari 2600 tech wise. In this game, if you get knocked down it takes you so long to recover you just recover right into more damage. This is especially annoying in boss fights. You get knocked down as you get up, because it takes so long to recover you recover right into his next attack and are unable to do anything except get knocked down again. i am so fucking angry right now, like its not even fun...am I glad this was a rental. At least in ninja gaiden (or any other game like this), despite the more challenging difficulty you can deal with a crowd of enemies and i know what eventually killed me on the end. In this f'n game...combos make you walk off a cliff and die I heard the wii version is supposed to be better control wise and maybe I should have rented that instead...but this 360 version (and the PS3 version) is complete shit. End of rant. PS. someone needs to write the following letter to lucasarts about this... Dear Lucasarts, The control in this game is complete crap. I'm cannot believe at how bad it is. Did you guys never play ninja gaiden? other stupid things: Combos that take you off a cliff. Boss fights where if you get knocked down you recover right into more damage without being able to react. Patch this crap!!! |
The Wii version is total dogshit. The graphics were terrible and the controls weren't nearly as responsive as they should have been IMO. Especially trying to do the precise angles with the Nunchuck required for force power clashes. Returned it for the PS3 version which I find to be pretty fun so far. At least an 8 IMO.
Keep this in mind when reading what I type...
I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.
I just got the Wii version. It's actually much better than every one made it seem.
While the PS3 version was a let down graphically, the Wii version is alright for a Wii game. The controls rock out with their... nm... The camera does suck, but oh well.
Oh the targeting that all the reviews bitched about, I don't see the problem.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
Why did everyone get such high hopes for this game. I thought this was gonna be crap before it came out. I think it's just the draw of being a jedi with the lightsaber and force, a testament to how the movie really got into people's minds....lol force.

Well, I tried at some friends and I think the game sucks. To be blunt in my view it trails games like Jedi Outcast, etc. on PC in terms of controls, story and allowing you to go all Jedi online...
Mind you, it is in keeping with all things Star Wars since Phantom Menace- average at best.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

i have the wii version.
the controls are simple and easy, But the graphics and cutscenes are probably from the PsP version..lol..
only planet Fulucia looks good
The part with the Star Destroyer for the trailer was pathetic on the Wii verison.

It's funny because some times the backgrounds look really good, and then the other 90-95% of the time, it looks bad.
Another game that could have been awesome if it had 3-9 more months to simmer. It's disappointing with a SW game because they have the resources, talent, and guaranteed minimum sales to do it.
