Monster Hunter Portable 2nd 500K Fire Emblem Wii 50K Naruto Wii 20K Sim City DS 20K Metal Slug PSP 10K http://ameblo.jp/sinobi/ EDIT: So great sales for MHP2, wounder how much boost we will on the PSP...50k? Or is it the same crowd that bought MHP1? disapointed for FE Wii, a new favorit of my own, I hope that it still will be sold in the West.

As far as I heard, it is concerned that the sales of PSP in not so well. In Japan, the users of FE is limited to core users from former serieses. So the sales is probably 70k... failure of Naruto is not so surprised result. Naruto loses one's popularity among children who are the main target.

Impressive - DS has only 3 stronger records as for first week. It is like Pokemon in the world of DS Users - 1 copy for 10 Users on day one

Nice 1st day numbers - probably won't sell much more for the week (wasn't the shipment 500k in total?). Fire Emblem also did well - will total 70k-80k for the week (decent start). PSP will get a boost - but by how much, we'll find out soon enough. Now watch for Capcom to bring their latest best-selling franchise to all platforms ;)

Huh? longer than what? So the DS is dead, and the PSP now dominating? Go get a life, fanboy ;) (and work on that grammar / spelling as well!). PS3 domination... we'll see. I think you'll be sorely disappointed ;)

Wii_gamer said: Holy crap!! Those are enormous number for MHP2. Although the game will be extremely frontloaded I think sales around 600k for the first week are likely and both Monster Hunters will pass a million - could end up being the only two PSP games that do so (unless any big announcements are on the horizon).
I hope your joking. Theres about 7 games that have sold over a million and one game that sold over 3 million and that game wasnt even released in Japan (If it was it probally would only sell 50,000 copy's)

Wii_gamer said: Decent number for Fire Emblem (~75k for the week?) and should have larger legs than the GC version (by virtue of launching earlier in the life of the system and so on) so should hit 200k. Naruto will have legs so still early days for that (~55-60k for the week, 250-300k lifetime)
Fire Emblem - no. People didn't buy a Wii to play this. This could and should have been released on the Cube. Naruto - again, no. Just look at the recent Dragonball game. This is no different, only will come off worse for being the same thing just released a few weeks after. Wii is going to continue the current trend of dropping sales figures week over week in Japan until they get a killer app out, and that doesn't look like happening for quite some time.

Nicely said! I agree there are no killer apps for the Wii in the near future. My depression for the Wii. If there is 1 killer app coming every 2-3 months like someone said. That would be nice... but... if I dont like it. that makes it 4-6months. and if I dont like that one... that makes it almost a year before a must have game.. The PS3 is getting 1 to 2 a MONTH. killer apps matter. :)
