EDIT: misunderstanding

Meh... the 360 is far from being popular in Japan anyway. After 3 years, they haven't even got 1 million consoles sold. Their plan was to block the PS3 and I think it worked on some level but it's really Nintendo that destroyed the PS3 in Japan.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

I don't know why people are still loyal to SE, they've been fucking up their main franchise for the longest time now.

The only things that are mindless are your posts quit bing such a troll. Anyway back on topic, THAT ACTUALLY MATTERS - not S.T.A.G.E., I give respect to M$ for a victory and a job well done, though I don't like M$, but I do like the 360. However the real blindness comes from anybody who doesn't see that once FFXIII comes out, which as everybody (besides hater S.T.A.G.E.) knows really means nothing for 360 since in the region where M$ is trying to compete the game isnt even gonna be on the 360 (Japan), that one title alone will do better for PS3 than ALL of the JRPGs on the 360. Once PS3 gets JRPGs this will no longer be a topic of discussion. But yeah good job M$, but I'm waiting on FFXIII (PS3), White Knight Story, FF Versus XIII. I prefer to play JRPGs on the the system that is MOST personal to me and the one that I grew up with, Sony Playstation. And none of the current JRPGs on 360 interest me anyway.

thanks for being so opened minded , i cant even aknoledge most people with a reply, there so stuborn

i agree with u 100%  microsoft has done a great job , but we all know one ps3 rpg will blow away all of 360s combined  , not bcuz i say so , just because 360s fanbase isnt a role playing one. just like halo blows all other FPS for other consoles away..

Good points here, and I'll tell you why.  Let's assume that the upcoming Final Fantasy games will be great when released.  If you want a great game, you're not a FF fan, you have a 360 and not a PS3, but you're willing to give FFXIII a try, then there will be little to no reason to buy a PS3 for FFXIII.  But if you are a FF fan, you'll "need" a PS3 to play both FFXIII and Versus.  The preconceived notion was that FFXIII was never coming to the 360, but like anything else, things change.  But the application of reality here is that if you are a FF fan, you'll "need" a PS3.  Besides, FFXIII is exclusive to the PS3 in Japan.  Need I explain more?

It will definitely be a timed exclusive in Japan, but i doubt Square-Enix is going to let the momentum shift for the 360 in Japan go unnoticed.  Especially if Microsoft can help persuade them.  i have a funny feeling about this upcoming TGS, with Mistwalker most likely unveiling Cry On and Blue Dragon 2, and Tri-Ace showing off Star Ocean 4, a simultaneous Japanese release with the NA/EU launch is more than likely IMHO.

The release of FFXIII on the 360 in the West shows me that Square is run by businessmen, not fanboys.  And PS3 sales in japan is not particularly helping their argument.

why are we ever talking about this a buch of sony fan boys crying the Microsoft is selling JRPGS?

You are ASSUMING that the PS3 Japan sales argument is not helping the argument.  Let's ASSUME that FFXIII is a timed exclusive in Japan.  As big as FF franchise is, Japanese FF fans are going to get their hands on it as soon as possible (on PS3), and there still isn't any announcement of Versus going to the 360.  You make too many unsubstanciated conclusions to make a point.

I feel 360 is like a SAVIOUR to the gamers.

What, for taking us back to the days of dodgy PS2s and removing the damn hard drive that made the Xbox so nice as a media centre?

So far this gen the major story seems to be Nintendo getting back on their feet with MS's (inadvernent) help while MS and Sony fight over the same content.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

This damage control is incredible! Sad! The PS3 will never close the 4 million gap between it and the Xbox 360! The 360 is getting more and more marketshare and its freaking Sony and all of its supporters out.

I am being open minded, it is you who is one tracked in your belief and dominant Sony loving lifestyle when Sony got cocky and sold their fanbase out. I don't have loyalty to any company. Sony JRPG's can try to blow away all of Microsofts but not when the market isn't as strong as it was last gen. Remember this lesson...what you're saying isn't proven. It's false hope because of the dominance of last gen. It has created a sick religious cult-like following for Sony just because they are Japanese. Square Enix has proven that money talks.

Take GTA for  instance. How did Sony have exclusivity of the GTA franchise as long  as it did on the PS2? They had a 4 year exclusivity contract with Rockstar games on the GTA series. Not only did GTA IV sell better on  the 360...Microsoft made sure that it sold better because of the awaited DLC. No one has loyalty to Microsoft (unless they are a moron). You need to remember that Sony doesn't have such a squeaky clean past either. Realize that they can try to brush off microsoft but this isn't the old school war. Sony thought they could push around Sega and Nintendo, but guess what another non console gaming multi-billion dollar corporation joined the war and want to go after Sony's throat. They got cocky because of marketshare and sold out all of their consumers, instead of having an affordable system. Microsoft took advantage off that...and Microsoft is not a company that you can allow to understand how you work. Microsoft understands that Sony works by egotism (much like they do when they are the monopoly of something). The difference between Microsoft and Sony is that Microsoft has already achieved a Monopoly, where as Sony has been slapped around by front running electronics companies and was in extreme danger until Kutagari gave Sony the idea for a videogame system, which is known as the Playstation.

America is a much more powerful consumer driven economy than Japan and they have sold way more in all of all systems when added up than all other countries. They are the most important people to impress. Americans are much easier to impress than Japanese because we are an open economy where as Japan though similar has economical and moral loyalty to their nation.
