No it isn't. Sony is raping MS. To the tune of around 3.6 million units (after 97 weeks PS3 is at about 15.5 million, 360 was at about 11.9 million. Difference = about 3.6 million)

However the real blindness comes from anybody who doesn't see that once FFXIII comes out, which as everybody (besides hater S.T.A.G.E.) knows really means nothing for 360 since in the region where M$ is trying to compete the game isnt even gonna be on the 360 (Japan), that one title alone will do better for PS3 than ALL of the JRPGs on the 360. Once PS3 gets JRPGs this will no longer be a topic of discussion. But yeah good job M$, but I'm waiting on FFXIII (PS3), White Knight Story, FF Versus XIII. I prefer to play JRPGs on the the system that is MOST personal to me and the one that I grew up with, Sony Playstation. And none of the current JRPGs on 360 interest me anyway. |

i agree with u 100% microsoft has done a great job , but we all know one ps3 rpg will blow away all of 360s combined , not bcuz i say so , just because 360s fanbase isnt a role playing one. just like halo blows all other FPS for other consoles away..
This is how M$ does battle, they are shifty and will try to win no matter what. I really cannot stand them much anymore, but, take my hat off to them for a smart move. It is a shallow victory tho, as SONY is a Japanese company, whick means we will see many, many JRPG's in the long run on our PS3's.
Also to note, there really hasn't been any stellar JRPG's yet released on the 360. Yes, some good, but not great IMHO. The first real killer to be released on a HD console will be White Knight Chronicals then FF13 and FF13v and the PS3 has all 3!

Sony and Microsoft are both gaming "corporations" the real heroes out there are the Squares, Capcoms, Segas, Nintendos, Konamis, Namcos, Valves and Rockstars ect of this world
The problem for sony this time is they are not up against companys with limited bank balances (ie Sega) now they are up against a juggernaught (microsoft) with what seems like a limitless pot of money

I'd forgotten that MS has about a years start, and even so still Sony has sold 3.6 million units more than MS has over the equivalent period.
so now we have the 360 selling at a rough average of 141500/week, the PS3 at 160000/week and the Wii at 337000 per week.
So...Microsoft is raping Sony? hardly.

I just find it interesting how locked down the Wii has the market right now.
Fascinating how people seem to forget that people buy games so they can be PLAYED, not so they can say "well I bought this sqeenix game just so I can say I did and supported them".
Must be tough to understand.

compared to last gen then sony is getting rapped, m$ has increased there marketshare where as sony has lost some of its marketshare compared to the ps2 (ps2 was at 22 mill but ps3 at 15 mill)
