Halo 3 got a brand new flavor of Mountain Dew, and now Gears is getting promotional energy drinks. I don't know if this will generate the same kind of buzz as Halo did, but i still think it's interesting to see different forms of game promotion. Some will say it's over the top and unnecessary, but whatever.

Given their relationship with Epic on this IP and it's performance in the marketplace, I fully expect an all out media blitz from MS/Epic leading up to it. You probably wont be able to turn your head without seeing Gears 2, somewhere.

I wonder if they can top the Mad World commercial though...that was absolutely perfect.
