I've personaly never gotten RROD so I'm not sure what to look for but I think my neigbor in my dorm building might have a 360 thats about to die and i wanted to see if anyone on this forum could tell me for sure if his 360 is about to get hit with rrod.

We were trying to play Halo yesterday on a projector but everytime we turned on the 360 it would freeze, sometimes it would work longer and even boot up the game but whenever it started to load the map it would freeze again. I asked him and sure enough its a launch console. However even though it kept freezing the lights never flashed red.

Even though the console hasn't technically had rrod is it ok if we call MS and get the coffin or do we have to wait for the lights?

Yea it did that once or twice. So how do I make it actually rrod just leave it on until it overheats? If I sent for the coffin now and it didn't actually rrod would my friend have to pay for repairs?

 my mates bein doin that since he got red ring, and now he gets about 2-3 days out of it before it red rings again

Alright thanks guys, I guess I'll just tell him to leave it on and throw some blankets on it so it rrod's and then we'll call microsoft.

oh so thats why my 360 rrod'd i left the packaging on it and just cut a little hole for the dvd tray and stuff. lolol

sometimes is better to force it than waiting the obvious to happen after warranty expired

Oh! Don't even mention it! RROD was the reason I bought a PS3 too. 3 days before the release of halo 3 I saw it (while playing Bioshock)! I couldn't do without a console for a couple of weeks! Now I am happy with both of them!
