^You'll have to subtract some from that 52.9% because some people have bought both a 360 and PS3.

@xman: You can't simply fuse the numbers together: I'm sure some of the PS3 sales were due to Blu-ray, or some buying both consoles. If we're talking about removing RRoD, the launch time would have to be delayed, as well.
Best-case scenario is 360 hardware, with a HD included, only one SKU. Adding Blu-ray or HD-DVD would add a ton to the cost... I dunno for sure, whatever the console is like, it'll take heavy losses and can't keep up with the Wii.
Some people are under the impression that the hardcore crowd is larger than the casual crowd. Not to mention a large chunk of the hardcore crowd likes the Wii. The educated hardcore gamers have realized that the Wii has a lot of very good core games that no one else can offer. Corruption, Twilight Princess, Smash and Galaxy to name only 4. As cheap as the Wii is, you're kind of a douche to call yourself a hardcore gamer and ignore the Wii entirely.
So what's to stop people from still picking up a Wii when there's a PS360 out there?
It would be more succesful.
People who want a wii would buy a wii.
Its not like a console that is compltely different would change there minds.

Super mega fusion of PS3 and 360, best of both worlds:
PS3 side - Bluray, replaceable harddrive as standard, cell processor, slot load drive, built in wireless, HDMI as standard, No RRoD, motion controls
360 side - Xbox Live online experience, able to use a PC monitor instead of needing a new TV, willing to fund 3rd parties for new exclusive games, more powerful GPU
colab benefits - Not competing with each other, games aren't having the PS3 and 360 versions picked apart graphically. Games like Viva pinata come to PSP instead of DS. Gamers no longer have to make choice between Halo3 and MGS4. Games are designed specifically for this super console, and thus don't suffer from port problems that limits the developer's ability to utilize all of a console's power.
variables - Price; with all the stuff getting packed into this, it's possible it could have launched at an even HIGHER pricepoint, and possibly stayed much higher as well, due to the lack of competition in the HD console feild. This could easily negate any advantage it would gain from not having any competition. Launch; While launching later would have kept the RRoD issue out of the equation, the shortages of bluray diodes would still create an issue with being able to launch earlier, and thus secure exclusives for that console as Microsoft had done when they launched the 360.
Personally, I think that the Wii would still be a little ahead, maybe 55% vs 45% though it could be as much as 70% to 30% depending on how many people currently are PS3 and 360 owners.

it would mean only more flops and more developers would make core games on wii since it would be cheaper in development than this hd console and safer for developers, because of less competition. which means that wii would get more attention from game developers and be like next gen version of ps2 since hd console would be like first xbox(well they are now).
Problem is the question is extraordinarily hypothetical. It's hard to relate it to the real business world.
I can say the Wii would still probably win.
They'd have even less marketshare than they have combined now, and third parties would be royaly screwed over.
I don't think alot of people here understand how third parties are surviving the way they are today.
There would have to have been a compromise, and unfortunaterly the compromise would be the games you all enjoy today.

I agree with most of the folks here, i think the wii would probably have even more market share.
