Brace yourselves. The planet is going to smash into the Sun any second, such is the force of what's just happened in Japan.
Thanks to a price cut, the exclusive release of Square Enix RPG Infinite Undiscovery and a generous sprinkling of what can only be the finest fairy dust, Xbox 360 sold more than Wii in Japan last week.
Microsoft shifted 28,681 Xbox 360s out there thanks to being cheaper and having a good game come out for once, compared to Nintendo's 27,057 Wii's. PlayStation3, as ever, embarrassed itself, moving an extremely poor 8,050 systems.
This one battle will not change the course of the war, of course. It will, however, make people who like PS3 a bit angry. That is the greatest and most important victory of all.
