Wow that was surprising.

Wow, I'm actually starting to get really mad.
I spend 400+ dollars on a PS3, 99% for MGS4, but now it's just sitting there, and it's been collecting dust for months. Now, months later when I see a game I want for the PS3 (Last Remnant,) I find out the 360 is getting it this year while the PS3 isn't. That's really lame, I hate how they're doing that.
No wonder this is happening.

Well maybe you should consider buying 360 then? It is quite cheap.

I have to say M$ have done everything they can to sell 360's in Japan. I think that maybe the 360 can stay above 15,000 a week if the stock levels stay good. Japan will still be looking forward to TLR and Star Ocean 4 yet and I think 360 sales wont slow to much there as also the price drop will help. I'm betting that M$ will very quickly after this info snap up some more Japanese exclusive games due to this. Well done M$. Against all odds and the nay sayers you have actually started breaking through to the Japanese market.

WELL DONE.

I had already predict this few days ago which i had said 360 will be on top of table after price cut and the release of JRPG.

But many peole are just don't want to face the reality.

Anywhere, this is a good news to everyone. go 360

i still don't understand why you would think that though. it sold well becauseof 3 very important things:

  1. a price drop
  2. pent up demand from shortages
  3. a big new game being released.

unless that happens every week, 360 will drop quick and fast in my opinion.

@greeing with DOATS1

its only doing so good for those 3 reasons, and unless the 360 continuosly gets more RPGs and price drops, it's going to have a drop

Wow. I guess the 360 might hit 1m in sales in Japan after all. The Microsoft's JRPG plan seems to be working after all.

foothold secured in Japan? I hope this trends the 360's normal numbers up into the 5 digit/wk numbers... the Japanese gamers have a lot of catching up to do on the system and the games are pretty cheap I imagine.

Wow, this is truly shocking! I definitely didn't expect the price cut + Infinite Undiscovery to have this kind of effect! I'm sure the price cut did most of the job as Infinite Undiscovery failed to sell 100k first week, which is anything but impressive to be honest.
