Forums - Sony - MS's Peter Moore on the PS3 price cut

I will have to agree on this one with the gauys that say its not a pricecut, just a clearance sale and a better deal for those same 500 dollars that you had to spent to get a PS3 at launch.

if in 3 months all 60GB NorthAmerica's PS3's were sold and only the 80GB+game was in shelves for 600 dollars, would it be a price increment since there would not be a PS3 for 500 dollars anymore? I don´t think so.

The sad thing for sony supporters, is that if in fact they lowered the price of the 80 GB console + game to 500 dollars a few months after all 60 GB consoles were sold out, it still wouldnt be a price cut, just a better deal.

But knowing all of you in these forums, you would say the PS3 got another price cut in a short time. NowTHAT would be funny haha.

Oh, and just for the record I'm not saying better deals are not Great, becuase they are, they give you more bang for your buck, but they are just that "more bang for your same buck", and a pricecut would be more along the lines of "same bang for less buck" and with the entry price for the console unchanged, thats not the case.
