Parokki said: Have you guys forgotten the amount of bullshit around the PS2 launch? It was even worse than with the PS3... saying that the PS2 failed to deliver on a lot of its promises is hardly trolling, even though I agree that the vast library of games more than made up for it. |
That article makes me lol. Funny thing is, they did just the same thing with the PS3.
"4D Graphics"... that look pretty much just like the 360.
"Power of the Cell!" ...that's a pain in the arse to develop for, so nobody uses it.
"Blu-Ray is necessary for a next-gen system!" ...except it's not.
"Linux support!" ...that runs like a PC from ten years ago.
"Hundreds of third-party games in development as of E3 2005!" ...most of which turned out to be vaporware, cancelled, or went multiplatform.
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
